The nice part of Mt. Tamaro is that people go up to eat and Enjoy the food, while walking down is pretty (beautifully) solitary... the kind of peace regenerating every cell in me 😊🤩😍

Mount Tamaro - Ticino - Switzerland (part 1)
To rest my mind, I went for a walk in a nearby mountain, Mt. Tamaro. It makes me feel good and I needed it to rest my mind from the Nepal disaster, which reminded me of the 2010 Ladakh cloudburst I experienced when I was there... terrible.
But some fresh air and some 10km walk put my mind to rest...Enjoy the shots! 😊🪷🌺

Climbing the wall of Sambuco dam with @biglepas. We were all alone and the temperature was perfect – both quite unexpected for a Sunday with 32 °C in Locarno!
It's a fun, easy route, ideal for showing someone the basics of multi-pitch climbing. And as a bonus, one can abseil down the whole 102 m of the wall afterwards 😊

Im Tessiner Bleniotal gibt es eine Reihe von Felsburgen, die «Case dei Pagani», «Heidenhäuser». Diese kaum zugänglichen Ruinen sind der Schauplatz vieler schauriger Geschichten, und sie geben der Forschung bis heute Rätsel auf. Mein neuer Beitrag im Blog des Schweizerischen Nationalmuseums.

Auf der Talfahrt nervt der ohrenbetäubend laute Tessiner Hudigäggeler (und der Ostschweizer Bub, der lautstark alles kommentiert 🤓), aber ich darf ja nicht klagen, da ich ja praktisch gratis fahre: Sie hat mir ein falsches Billett ausgestellt, welches aber schon ok sei.
Auch hier ist der Adlerfarn ein Problem, der als #Neophyt alles überwuchert.
In #Bellavista dann Reminiszenzen zum #Pfadi-#Sola 1979, und damals waren Dieseltriebwagen im Einsatz.

Heute ganz nach hinten ins #vallemuggio. Immer wieder ein Abenteuer - und der #montegeneroso ist einfach gigantisch. Von Roncapiano nach #Bellavista - bis ganz hinauf habe ich in besseren Tagen mal geschafft, jetzt aber nehmen wir die #Bahn.
