I meet, in Japan, many people who care about #Ukraine but not #palestine.

Among too many Asian so-called "leftists," those are care about #Gaza but not Ukraine.

And, sadly, people everyone who care about either of those situations, but don't care about #Papuans #Uyghurs #Tibetans #Kashmiris or others facing oppression in Asia.

Imagine if the actual nazis were still genociding the native peoples and cultures in occupied lebensraum *for 70 fucking years and counting*...

Imagine the 'third reich' — completely unrepentent and still military-expansionist — was not only admitted to the United Nations but given a top seat with veto powers...

Just so that the industrialists and bankers of the democratic world could do unhindered business there, with cheap labour (the reeducation camps naturally fully utilized!) and not a labour law or civil libetry in sight!

Imagination isn't needed.

The CCP chinazis, who even adopted "legalism" from nazi #Germany to justify any and all acts of despotism under "rule-by-law", their dictatorship switched from nominal "communism" to #NationalSocialism (orig. nazional sozialismus i.e. nazism) and did all that. While killing more people than #stalin and #hitler *combined*. After WWII, 'the end of all wars'...

And *still* people of the embattled democracies are buying all they can from that regime, empowering it and paying its bills as is builds it concentration camps and its military power and its internal control machinery... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ukrainians are now having to fight to stop #russian genocidal invasion exactly because the likes of #putin and #xijinping saw there were no *consequences* if you genocide #Tibetans or #Uighurs or even deprive #Hongkongers of their civil rights in that #BankingColony of the #CCP ...

Well, all that #indifference that has caused so much suffering to those neighbours of despotic imperialists will inevitably hit home at those indifferent democracies that chose to look away.

And it always was a choice.

I know it's a really weird idea, especially if you personally aren't currently being genocided by that particular regime.

The Polish freedom fighters had a word for this odd phenomenom though. They even founded a rather successful labour union named after that concept. Without #solidarity between peoples, would the #soviet #russian #dictatorship have crumbled when it did?

Another thing is that the various #despots and #authoritarians are increasingly networking and joining forces to fight the evils of #democracy and #humanrights globally. Aiding, abetting or doing business with any of them makes all of them more powerful.

Would you buy plastic nazi trinkets? Cheap nazi electronics?

Would you watch nazi satellite "news"? Play computer games by nazis?

Would you use nazi apps that can access all your private data? (their own networks being only accessible to the nazi party)

Would you send nazis your industrial base and your bankers to finance it?

From the point of view of #Tibetans, #Uighurs, #SouthMongolians, #Hongkongers and most of their current neighbours worried about pesky "#lebensraum issues", the Chinese dictatorship are like nazis, just without the _express_ corporeal extermination programme.

Yet nearly everyone merrily does business with them. Even the Jewish state... They have full WTO access to abuse as they will. Those they trust with passports go on foreign holiday tours. Unlike those denied *exit*...

Kindly explain to me why.

It's not 1945. They overthrew their republic in 1949 and went on to commit atrocities they've erased from their subjects' memory, and apparently from the memory of most free people as well. The key thought driving them forward is "biding time and hiding strength" until they can erase *#democracy* — the one thing that they fear and hate more than anything. They're buying off (not only) developing country elites at a pace that would make the East India Company blush.

I suppose Lenin's lightbulb moment of "selling capitalists the rope with which to hang them" didn't go the waste after all.
