36 years ago the CCP used tanks to put down a student protest and has been lying about it ever since.
Troops drawn from the regions with no connections with the people of Beijing were bought in to do the killing.

Remember, today 35 years ago there was the massacre of the Tiananmen Square protests.
Several hundreds to several thousand civilians were shot, at times in their backs, by the PLA as well as run over by armoured personnel carriers (APC) and main battle tanks (MBT). And thousands more were wounded.

"The corpse walker" from Liao Yiwu contains the story of one of the students who were murdered at the #TiananmenSquare in #Beijing at the 4th of June 1989. His name was Wu Guofeng and he came from a family in Sichuan. He was the hope of his family, and after his murder his family broke apart. His father Wu Dingfu tells his heartbreaking story in this #book. It is rare that people speak so openly about the #TiananmenSquareMassacre in #China

I was reading this article on a museum about the Tiananmen Square Massacre of 1989. One of the things that stuck me is that China still going after any national or relative that shows their face at a memorial of the event.
This speaks volumes to me on the tyranny that persists there.

34 years ago the Chinese Communist Party cemented its journey down the long road of an Orwellian nightmare.
On 4 June 1989 China indiscriminately massacred thousands of students at Tiananmen Square.
As I type this 34 years later, Hong Kong police have detained protesters on the anniversary of the massacre.
