💁🏻‍♀️ TIL: 🦊🧩 A taxidermied head bought at an #antique market as a #fox was identified as a #thylacine, the extinct #marsupial known as the Tasmanian #tiger.

Only the second known mounted specimen, it was confirmed by X-ray and added to the International Thylacine Specimen Database. Researchers may sample its #teeth for #DNA.
