I think my projects are upset.
they haven't been themselves
they used to lounge almost daily
but now they seem unfurled
one, a project from college
came and offered demands!
I don't know what to say.
what do you say? to aspirations.
but I don't think I have to long
the way they've been staring
so many unfinished stories
so many angry children
divinity, laughs at the alcohol
dripping from my bottle.
slithering down the wall
into the gathering pool of
a well liquored oil slick.
the sweat of Dionysus is
a tale of celebration
and deep regret.
