Nice presentation of the ownership of #music #festivals [1]. Only 4 big companies are responsible for about 150 music festivals in multiple countries. Including #wacken #rockamring #rockimpark #splash! #heros #thunderdome #meraluna ... Now think of smaller #local #bands which want to be part of their local #festival. What do you think happens, when a small band writes an application for one of these festivals? I have been there and words like pay to play, ticket presale come to my mind. I do not think (next to efficiency) that this results a broad cultural development. #IMHO
