Happy Monday! Starting doing some overdue digging on Throbbing Gristle. Here's a slightly pretentious documentary that suffers from not being able to play the music, but I found it a pretty good intro. I look forward to seeing if I can get away with playing their stuff on daytime radio, at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon straight after the gospel hour... 😀

What a weird record by a weird (but great) band.
This record was neither jazz-funk nor 20 Greats, but a trap to lure the unsuspecting victim into listening to something completely different.Published in 1979 by Industrial Records.

To this day, I have kept a number of vinyl records, not sure why. I don't own a record player. But my most prized record is a urine-yellow transparent record of a live recording by Throbbing Gristle ("Führer der Menschheit") which most people would consider terrible noise. 500 records were issued, they were hand-numbered by Throbbing Gristle members.
I also kept a few records by Chrome, they were very dear to me. -

#NowPlaying my favorite Psychic TV LP, 'Towards Thee Infinite Beat' from 1990. This one is some wild acid house, a truly bizarre but unforgettable one from Genesis P (RIP). I like this one so much because it has a little bit of a Coil feel but of course that inevitable Throbbing Gristle feel, too, and it's all wrapped up in this great, trance-y acid house package. LOVE this one.
