@Xavier I'm Gen X but not an electronics geek. I've tried dabbling in basic electronics (I like ham radio), but had a couple bad experiences in a row (one was a "for total beginners" online class that wasn't).
I was checking to see who else besides me used the #ThriftBooks hashtag today and found your post and now I have a copy of Getting Started in Electronics ordered from Thrift Books. :)

My regular reminder that ThriftBooks(.com) is a thing, and they are still, from what I understand, a really good company. I've been buying from them for years and love their prices and customer service. Shipping speed is good too!
I also love how I can get hardbacks that come from libraries. It reminds me of that freshly discovered joy as a kid, where you realize you can TAKE THE BOOKS HOME. :) It's also nice to feel like you're giving them an extra life after they've retired from their library gig.

Picked up hardback copies of #StephenKing ,errr #PeterStraub (ha) #TheTalisman and #TheBlackHouse. Also grabbed hardbacks of #CliveBarker #WeaveWorld and #Imajica. (I've also got autographed copies of #Everville and #TheGreatAndSecretShow, but those were picked up years ago)
I've read them all in paperback way, way back in the day, but I like the security of hardback.
All I know is, I'm gonna be pissed if Amazon ever buys #ThriftBooks.

Just discovered what I hope is going to be a treat for Husband's birthday in a couple weeks: all four #DrPhibes books by #WilliamGoldstein, the fellow who co-wrote the first movie, #TheAbominableDrPhibes, one of his favorites. Found them at a good price on #ThriftBooks.

In other news your I never finished your old Grammar Devotional because an ebook was the wrong format for me for this book. I went to #Thriftbooks for an old copy. I know… someday I'll buy the new one…

Just finished Cory Doctorow’s Enshittification in 3 sittings. Definitely a great page turner, and if you’re a fan of the fediverse, this is the book for you. The only reason it took so long to read is the local library’s got a long waiting list for the book, even though it’s a 2 week loan. I finally got tired of waiting and bought it from Thriftbooks, a place where I buy used books normally.
Can’t say I disagree with any part of the book, I’m a believer in the points to book makes, deconstructing corporate power, and enabling labor power. #Enshittification #thriftbooks -

I've only used them for about a year, and have already spent way too much money.
Not on far too many books, mind you, I don't think that's actually possible. 🤣
