Triad Health Project celebrates 40 years. Their work and education have been crucial.

I got my first anonymous AIDS test there. Scary because a positive test could indicate as little as weeks left to live. It happened to many of my friends.

When I went back for the results, I was asked what I would do if they were positive. I said I would deal with it somehow.

I got good news.
