I'm calling it: the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds/Lower Decks crossover episode is the best episode of Star Trek ever made.

The utter polarization in the audience reviews of #ThoseOldScientists and #SubspaceRhapsody are hilarious and (I think) telling that SNW is doing something right.

Huge numbers of 5-star reviews with a very vocal minority of 1-star reviews claiming this is the worst thing to ever happen to Trek and that it'll ultimately kill the series 😂

Also, there only 10 episodes per season. So for 20% to be “silly” episodes seems excessive. And between the two novelty episodes, I think #ThoseOldScientists was better.

I finally caught up with #StrangeNewWorlds #SubspaceRhapsody. I did like it, but…. It seems like a “Season 5” kind of thing. I’m not sure SNW has had enough normal episodes to “earn” this. (And especially not in a season that also include #ThoseOldScientists.) I think I’m saying I support a “one novelty episode per season” limit.

A bit of tonal whiplash watching #ThoseOldScientists and #UndertheCloakofWar back to back.

Some genuine laughs in the first but I don't think I loved it as much as some people clearly did. A genuinely dark episode on the second - the discussion about justice between M'Benga and Pike at the end will come back again, I think.

I say #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds S02E07, #ThoseOldScientists…it’s awesome. I’ve only seen #StarTrekLowerDecks S01 and none of #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds and now I want to watch both 😂

The Strange New Worlds/Lower Decks crossover was one hell of a ride. I was skeptical of the concept, but they managed to pull it off. Combining the two shows shouldn’t really work, but somehow a great cast and smart writing made it gel. #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds #LowerDecks #ThoseOldScientists
