For the most part, I’m 50/50 on all non-Jonny Greenwood projects outside of Radiohead.

That includes Thom’s records.
Some I really like, some not at all.

My favorite of his remains The Eraser, his first outside of the cozy confines of Radiohead.

Lots of really cool tunes on this, including “Harrowdown Hill”, which if I remember correctly, was the album’s single.

The Eraser is a record I can throw on and just let play through without issue.
Definitely Thom’s most satisfying solo effort.

Struck by the Gener8tion/Young Lean Storm video, I tried to learn more about the choreographer #DamienJalet. I found his Instagram, saw he’d done a Madonna video with a badly dancing Cumberbatch I’d never seen, and then some more impressive large public dance pieces, always the same vibe of vast moving canvases of individual dancers, each with a deeper, more anguished inner life than the synchronous dance I’ve seen before.

Then found a Paul Thomas Anderson short film staring and composed by #ThomYorke - choreographed by Jalet - that I’d also never heard of, that seems worth sharing. https://vimeo.com/733917128

All this reminded me that my favourite moments online have been that click trail of curiosity that leads to more good stuff along the way..

I would have absolutely lost my fucking mind at this show.

Hope everybody had a fantastic #recordstoreday !

Have only dipped into a few of mine so far, but I was in the mood to hear this, so the rest of the RSD stuff will have to wait.

Some Radiohead fans don’t have time for a lot of the side stuff; wether it be Jonny or Tom’s film work, various solo albums, side projects like Atoms For Peace or The Smile or whatever.

I am not one of those people.

I particularly love Thom’s solo albums, particularly THIS and The Eraser.

There are some hauntingly beautiful songs here, including my favorite, the closing track “Nose Grows Some”.

Listening to The Eraser and THIS back to back is one of my favorite 1-2 album punches.

There was also a lovely record store in the centre of Bologna dedicated to Radiohead during the time of their residency (there were also a few rarities on display, unfortunately not for sale). The store was always packed with people when we got there. You could tell that there were fans from all over the place in Bologna and we met people from Italy (obviously), Austria, Germany, the UK, Slovenia, Switzerland/Canada and Israel. #Radiohead #ThomYorke #JonnyGreenwood #TheSmile

A very lucky (and dedicated) friend of mine managed to grab tickets for the sold out #Radiohead shows in Bologna. They are incredible live and I'm still flashed. Apart from fan favourites like Let Down, Weird Fishes or Karma Police they also played rarities like Talkshow Host or Kid A (and also, the pounding energy of There There will never not be great).
