OK, I've lurked enough days, here's a long #introduction
Mid-40s #dad in northern #Iowa, staying at home with 2 toddler sons. In easier times, I did more #writing, but at present I just think about it all the time. Got a #MFA, though.
I have produced one or more #podcasts since 2008; at present the show is about #Spiderman cartoons. I co-host with an old #collegeradio buddy.
I'm into #fiction #poetry #CNF #comics #scifi #starwars #startrek. I also watch a lot of #danieltiger and #thomasandfriends. I wish I had enough time and energy for all the shows that you are watching, too.
I probably like the same bands that YOUR dad does.
Oh, I'm from #Wisconsin so I like the #Packers #Brewers and #Bucks. I think if #Milwaukee wins another #NBA title in the next few years, #Giannis #Antetokounmpo should assume the mantle of greatest WI athlete of all time.
I self-host my #podcast #blog and have run my #linux server for over 15 years. I used to use #Ubuntu everywhere, but I favor #manjaro or something else #arch -flavored on my desktop now. My #framework laptop runs it perfectly well.
Only a crazy person would have 2 dogs and 2 small children at the same time, like I do.
Here's some things that I think or feel:
5000 characters are an awful lot;
Iowa is the least interesting place that I've lived;
The #Beatles would have gotten back together if Lennon hadn't been killed;
If you have the time to figure out how to do it, you should try to learn;
Jeans with holes are uncomfortable;
The recent Golden Age of TV is probably over;
Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man;
Daniel Craig was the best Bond;
It's OK to read the book after you see the movie;
I would rather pick up leaves with the lawnmower for 5 hours than rake for 2;
Everyone should be able to live in peace and dignity if their actions aren't hurting others;
I'm sure I've forgotten something.
