#Bleedingedge by Thomas #Pynchon is by far not his best novel, but it is great in capturing the inherent trauma that 9/11 caused to New York citizens (or Americans in general) and also in describing the different reactions and conspiracy narratives surrounding it. Even if its humour sometimes seems over the top.

My first foray into the mind of Thomas Pynchon. Admittedly, the rambling, surrealism, and paranoia of Bleeding Edge was close to having the better of me (and probably did). I can see why people like his writing, but I feel I lack the necessary cultural sophistication to truly enjoy the story.

I don't know if you can call a 2013 novel 'prescient' as such, but one quote stayed with me after putting the book down. I'll add it below.
