  2. OK we have the final article for last week! 🙂 Here's the top-level summary:

    > Following the successful Fedora 44 release, efforts have shifted to Fedora 45 planning. Key discussions include proposed system-wide changes, such as versioned libgit2 packages and x86-64-v3 builds. Strategically, the Council, Server, and Mindshare teams are evaluating the future of virtualization, specifically exploring integrated platforms as VMware alternatives. Additionally, teams continue routine package maintenance, infrastructure updates, and efforts to improve bug triage and dependency management processes.

  4. New post in abompard.fedorapeople.org/twif/

    > Across the project, the overwhelming focus was on the final stages of the Fedora 44 release cycle. Following a Go/No-Go meeting, the release was delayed due to outstanding blocker bugs. Many teams issued new release candidates and conducted intensive community testing and validation to resolve the blocking issues. Several groups also began planning for the future: a change proposal for Fedora 45 to build x86-64-v3 packages was a major topic for FESCo and ELN. FESCo also decided to revert the disruptive OpenSSL 4.0 update in Rawhide to allow for better preparation.

  6. What happened last week in Fedora land: abompard.fedorapeople.org/twif/

Preparing for the upcoming Fedora 44 release (delayed due to several outstanding bugs). Quality, Releng, Workstation, KDE, and Server teams were heavily involved in addressing these issues, holding blocker review meetings and encouraging community testing of a new RC to fix the issues before April 21st. Beyond that, other activities included the project-wide migration of repositories from Pagure to Forgejo, routine package maintenance and updates across multiple language SIGs, and future planning (FESCo & the Design team).
