Looking forward to being up there tomorrow for both game two of #GWH vs. UMD but also to cheer for UMD as they take on the fightin' John McCains of Minnesota State Mankato in football.

apropos: I need to observe how fortunate those of us who work here are to be at this university with the amazing resources we have available to us. not everywhere is as well resourced as we are. we have an embarrassment of riches.

So far today:
three coworkers have bought #GopherWHockey season tickets for themselves and their families
two of them have cancelled their #PWHLMN season tickets, a third waiting to see if they actually sign #BrittaCurl to a contract in a few weeks
One retired coworker has also cancelled their family's season tickets and is instead adding that to their annual donation to the #GWH Power Play Club
tons of people on reddit are reporting that they've also cancelled their #PWHL season tickets
So what I'm saying is: It's a great day to be a fan of Golden Gopher Women's Hockey. Thanks to Ken Klee for his support and encouragement!

and 120 days until #GopherWHockey visits our friends at UConn to return their visit from January. I ended up sitting next to the dad of their captain and he was really a nice guy.

in #GopherHockey news, Josie Hemp (defense) has transferred to the University of Vermont. It's a shame but it's probably for the best for her.
Emily Zumwinkle (defense who was paired with the estimable and ever delightful Solveig Neunzert) also jumped in the portal for her grad year.
And last but not least: Isa Goettl has transferred to Bemidji State. Hopefully she will be able to light up the scoreboard for them, sorry to see her go. She might be just the person they need with a new coach.
Gophers have not grabbed anyone out of the transfer portal but have another 12 days or so. Our roster is looking locked and loaded as it is. Time to fight for the natty on our home ice!
