There was laughter and squeals of delight as fourth class pupils at St Joseph's National School in Dublin's Coolock looked back this week on footage taken at their school on this day five years ago when the school closures were announced.

I'm not sure if I can face the news today. I've had to shut some tabs. Maybe there have always been horrors and people didn't see or hear of them.
Turning off the news is not enough. Each voice of peace and love matters. In my very small way, I'm off to hug my children, smile at strangers, and encourage my students to do good wherever they can.
