Finally playing Thimbleweed Park for the first time.

And after less than 10 minutes I had the first reference to Monkey Island 😂

I finished the first #ThimbleweedPark on my Switch, got it later on LRG cartridge too and always wanted to play the ending again, as the save game was compatible.
I probably will play the whole first game again on my Android tablet instead 🤔
Yes, I am one of the few who bought it for Android too. Sad to read this platform does not sell well. Point & Touch on a 12" tablet works so nice... the TV running Maniac Mansion on my C64 was not bigger... and black and white 😂

Of all Point & Click adventures over the centuries, Thimble Weed Park is my favorite👍

From the old games it is #ZakMcKracken 🥸 but Thimble Weed Park gets ahead of it by some modern features while keeping storylevel and the cool look of the old champ somehow.

Since Thimbleweed Park 2 was announced and everyone seemed to like the first one I feel like I have to share my opinion. So here it goes:

I don't get the love. I honestly really hated playing Thimbleweed Park. It was a circlejerk of ex-Lucas Arts employees going "DAE remember old adventure games" throughout the whole game and it got annoying real fast. The story was nonsensical and the characters were also really getting on my nerves. And with the ending of the first one how the fuck do you justify a sequel?

So yeah, I don't understand it.

#FallenEarth After nearly 7 months being offline, FE is finally back! Time to go roam the wastelands again. And the devs are apparently still working on the remaster, which will hopefully bring some quality of life updates.

#LookMumNoComputer a cute little twin stick shooter by a fairly eccentric YouTube dude.
#NoMansSky and #GT7 as well, gotta keep the VR legs active lol

So, #ThimbleweedPark ist durch. Ich gebe zu, das letzte Drittel habe ich mithilfe der Komplettlösung gespielt – stundenlanges Rumlaufen bei den weniger naheliegenden Rätseln (radioaktive Pfütze WTF) habe ich mit 14 noch gemacht, jetzt nimmer. Insgesamt ein Hauch zu lang, aber das Ende ist großartig surreal :-) #GerritZockt

This has left me hungry for more point-and-click adventures, and while I have other Wadjet Eye games in my backlog, I think it's about time I play one of the games that has been in my backlog for a long time.

Gestern #ThimbleweedPark weitergespielt. Bin fast sicher, dass ich vor 6 Jahren den "einfachen Modus" gespielt habe, mit weniger Rätseln. Jetzt bin ich mittendrin und switche zwischen den fünf Charakteren hin und her. Macht immer noch Spaß. Ich spiele auf Englisch. Der Humor von @grumpygamer beamt mich zurück ins Jahr 1993 – und das ist ja so gewollt :-)

I can't believe it took me so long to get started on #ThimbleweedPark. Bought it a while back, but didn't take the time to try it out. It's awesome. A true love letter to the point and click adventures of the late #80s and early #90s. I'm enjoying the hell out of it.
