  1. "Hocus Pocus" is a song by the Dutch rock band #Focus, written by keyboardist, flutist, and vocalist #ThijsVanLeer and guitarist #JanAkkerman. It was recorded and released in 1971 as the opening track of their second studio album #MovingWaves. An edited version was released as a single (with "Janis" as the B-side) on the #Imperial, #Polydor and #BlueHorizon labels in Europe in 1971, but failed to chart outside of the Netherlands (NL No. 9).

    As Wikipedia puts it:
«"Hocus Pocus" takes the form of a rondo, consisting of alternation between a powerful #rock chord riff with short drum solos and then varied solo "verses" (in the original all performed by #ThijsVanLeer) which include #yodeling, #eefing, #organ playing, #accordion, #scatSinging, #flute riffs, and #whistling

What else do you want in your #progRock #music? ;)

  3. It'll probably be way too expensive for me, but wow, that #LimitedEdition #preOrder release of the recording of #Ayreon's #LiveConcert #IntoTheElectricCastle (Live and Other Tales), featuring a boatload of #musicians¹ from the #metalMusic scene, and narration by #JohnDeLancie (probably best known to #StarTrek fans as #Q, and #Discord for #MLPFiM fans), looks gorgeous: youtu.be/d5f5oTpZe2M
