Saw the #ThickTrunkTuesdays, #ThickTrunkTuesday, #TreeTrunkTuesdays & #TreeTrunkTuesday tag in my feed and found the exact right moment to post this photo (which is somehow 20 years old) of young Jack with my arborist turned accountant father standing on a redwood stump when we lived in California. And the next job he had after this took us from California to Michigan was a nonprofit nursery devoted to repopulating the earth with redwoods!

Hashtags are intrinsically terrible for search results.
This is because they're easily hijacked. Here's a case in point.
#ThickTrunkTuesdays is the biggest trending hashtag on mastodon.social right now when I look it up, what's the first result?
This post about grills.
Why is this the first result? Because a spammer co-opted #ThickTrunkTuesdays. He knows that hashtags are unmoderated. Nothing is preventing him from using hashtags for spam.
Search is broken on Mastodon.
