Asia (Zazie Beetz) é uma mulher de passado difícil e recém-saída da prisão que tenta reconstruir sua vida aceitando um emprego como governanta no Virgil, um luxuoso e misterioso edifício de arranha-céus em Nova York. Inicialmente aliviada com a oportunidade, ela rapidamente percebe que o lugar esconde um histórico perturbador de desaparecimentos e segredos de sangue. Não demora para Asia descobrir que a comunidade de moradores ricos do prédio, na verdade, faz parte de um culto satânico clandestino que realiza sacrifícios humanos.
