This is mindblowing to me, because I thought that theyvoteforyou.org.au was used *much* more heavily than what it is.
60,000 visitors a month. If each "visitor" were a person, that's 0.2% of the population.
Which to me, means that Australia is politically illiterate if we don't use the tools we have to hold politicians to account.
What can we do about this @oaf ?

@gusseting @kattekrab @benrfairless We locked down the ability for people to create/edit policies on #TheyVoteForYou after a number of people started making malicious/politically-driven edits (include some that were outright racist).
Our team wasn't able to keep up, which meant that the inappropriate policies were public longer than we would have liked.

@gusseting @oaf @kattekrab The requirement to have a formal vote (known as a “Division”) is set in the Standing Orders - all that needs to happen is for our elected representatives to change the Standing Orders.
As for what you can do - make your voice heard (and encourage others to make their voices heard). Highlight that you can’t support a politician when you don’t know their full voting record.
