I have always disliked how confusing the maps are in this game. Once again I forgot the way to the dwarven catacombs and the map had the quest marker going all over the place, first guiding me in the wrong direction entirely. Forums to the rescue, I found the right way.
The maps in the first and third games are so much understandable. I liked in the first game how you uncover the map as you go but you get markers either by coming across them or through finding quests. And while the maps weren’t very large, you could estimate in caves and crypts especially which way to go without reaching the final area.

This is why I like video game series that include details that connect the games together.
Earlier the name Zdenek meant nothing.
Now I know he was the final fist figher Geralt had to face during the fist fighting quest in the first game. And Zdenek’s tooth ended up being sold to the funnily named dentist Zahin Schmarz.
Now Zdenek is the last fighter Geralt faces in Flotsam. He also makes an appearance of sorts in 3.

Dice poker, yay!
What sucks is the layout, the bottom of the screen has a bar that covers some of my dice so I have to sit up close to make out what I have.
This was slightly easier to play with a mouse 😂
