  2. Damn, I'd totally forgotten how sexist #TheWestWing (the TV show 😅) was.

  3. The official the West Wing youtube channel uploaded this clip 2 days ago.
Why could ta 90s TV show be picking this specific scene to upload now?

  4. I have a #TheWestWing quote going around in my head but I can't find a clip or a gif of it right now. I'm pretty sure it's Bartlet talking to Albie Duncan and response to the president Duncan says (something along the lines of) " You sir are no Harry Truman".

Anyway. That. But as a gif.

  5. C2E2 2026 Photos, Part 2 of 2: Jessica Jones, The West Wing, and a Cavalcade of Comics

Previously on Midlife Crisis Crossover: It’s that time again! This weekend my wife Anne and I attended the latest edition of the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Exposition (“C2E2″), a three-day extravaganza of comic books, actors, creators, toys, props, publishers, freebies, plush dolls, variant covers, anime we don’t recognize, and walking and walking and walking and walking. We missed the inaugural 2010 gala and presciently skipped the February 2020 pre-shutdown soiree, but more often than not, whenever they send out the call to convene, we’re happy to answer... ...although we dragged our feet on committing to this year's edition as we waited for them to invite actors that we hadn't already met and who've performed in shows and/or movies we really enjoyed. Less than a month before showtime, we were finally feeling it and bought tickets. But we planned for a less epic adventure than usual. It was still fun! We have fewer anecdotes than usual, though. On the bright side, that means less typing for me and a shorter read for You, The Viewers At Home! (Not counting the next several paragraphs.) […]

  10. Sometimes you just have to face reality,
and often I do face it, but I confess that
I prefer this fiction from #TheWestWing.

  11. I'm rewatching #TheWestWing , and I just got to the debate episode with Matt Santos and Arnold Vinnick.

It's an interesting episode, because West Wing, when painting Republicans, always asks first, "What would a Republican you can trust look like?" And then they make much better arguments for them than any Republican makes.

But the way they do that? They take the abortion question off the table: They make Vinnick pro-choice.

Because to be anti-choice is to not view women as human beings.

  12. Reminding you of what a White House filled with good human beings is like.

  13. The West Wing remains one of the best series ever made—because it’s written like it believes words matter. #TheWestWing

  14. I know it’s coming. I’ve seen both episodes 3-4 times. ‘Election Day 1-2’ are such gut punches.

  16. Martin Sheen spent a lot of time in the Oval Office on his television drama #TheWestWing.
Here is what he said about Trump's Oval Office:
"There’s no heroes in there, there’s no music, there’s no laughter, there’s no self-effacement, there’s no joy in that room. It smells of ego and fear and false worship”:

  17. Emilio Estevez, Martin Sheen – „Dein Weg“ (2010)

(ARD)

  18. @barbaraj.sobel So has anyone done the thing they did in West Wing where someone asks Senator Stackhouse a long-winded answer in order to give him a break? 🤔 #TheWestWing #TheStackhouseFilibuster @genecowan

  19. I realise this toot will reach a very tight Venn diagram of niche interests but here goes anyway:

It turns out the Bartlet method of jacket adornment should not be attempted with a cassock when stood too close to the paschal candle. 🔥

  20. “Ya know what I’m gonna miss most? The Marine Corps Band. Those guys can really play. Ask ‘em to do ‘Semper Fidelis.’ They’ll knock your socks off.” - Martin Sheen as U.S. President Josiah Bartlet in the final episode of “The West Wing” titled “Tomorrow.”
