@JenniferSlack Curiously, the two main aspects of the Weave are mentioned or exemplified by the oft-referenced Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs:

Sadly, the #25thAmendment doesn't say what a lot of people think it says.Yes, the president's cabinet can remove a president they deem to be "too sick to do the job", but all #DementiaDon has to do is write back "I'm fine" and the effort is all but over.
And THIS cabinet thinks this brain-addled "PT Barnum wannabe" isn't an idiot or deranged, he's "playing 3 Dimensional chess".
He called it: #TheWeave. I call it: #DonnieDumbass

No, no, no. </q>

For comparison, Alcatraz Island is another location that Mr Trump wants for psychological reasons.
<quote> It sort of represents something that's both horrible and beautiful and strong and miserable — weak. It's got a lot of [...] qualities that are interesting</quote>

Example locus:
<q>but then you have to come back to the story where was air force one taking you so anyway I do a weave</q>
https://youtu.be/BTbXkxfBT3I?t=53Also (from the JR podcast at the end of this thread) editing loci breaks them:
<q>where I'll give an answer and they'll
take a couple of words and change them
around or they might even take a
sentence or two off which is very bad
but that's it's sort of bad you know I'd
give an answer which was a very good
answer</q>
#TheWeave -
CW: uspol
@JenniferSlack Ultimately, the point of the Weave is not the full truth of stream of consciousness but tribalism: the Weave accepts those seeking entertainment & rewards them with approval & memorable enemies & bewilders those seeking the speaker's subjective sensory perception:
<q>JR:Uh-huh, gotta get back to home
DT: no no it comes back home for the right people. For the wrong people it doesn't come back home & they end up in the wilderness</q>
https://youtu.be/3nSTNIu64q8?t=12

CW: uspol
@JenniferSlack The Weave shares emotive or aspirational aspects with stream of consciousness, yet these aspects are primarily rhetorical in the Weave (and if pretended, flippantly feigned). Stream of consciousness would include all of the speaker's private doubts and inconvenient observations, but the speaker using the Weave abandons much of this humility to make room for more mnemonic types for the loci adding a character and an emotion to each locus.
#TheWeave #writers -
CW: uspol
@JenniferSlack …then the speaker still gets the salient aspect of the loci that is useful for storytelling (hypotyposis) and being generally entertaining.
<q>Great entertainer, I'm saying and that's what he's playing on. He'll sit there and
entertain you [...] that's part of the weave bull***</q>
Also, the valid mental brace view:
<q>It's not the weave
it's the excuse
it's his excuse for
his inability to stay focused on a particular topic.</q>

@JenniferSlack Next question is, "Why would a looping sequence of loci be desirable as a backbone to the Weave?" Consider another loci-based structure: the method of loci
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Method_of_loci#:~:text=a%20familiar%20route%20with%20firmly%20established%20stop%2Dpoints%20or%20loci)
uses an ordered, linear sequence of loci because locations on a route are both salient & logically ordered which makes them easier to remember. But if the speaker foregoes forward ordering because they only need reverse connections to retreat after exhausting the current locus…#TheWeave #writers -

@JenniferSlack
<quote>They used to say, "Oh, he's rambling."
No, I'm not rambling — it's like genius, okay? [unintelligible] I let you know when I ramble & then we'll have the talk. </quote>
Claim #1: Stream of consciousness would be unstructured, but he claims genius & so requires an elegant structure.<quote>No, I cover different territories [vehicular onomatopoeia] it always ends up back in the right location.</quote>
Claim #2: looping loci structure. -

Petulant #DonaldTheDeplorable was unhappy that two #MAGA cult members fainted and interrupted #TheWeave of #WordSalad. So he refused to answer any more softball questions and ‘punished’ the #TrumpRally crowd by making them listen to music for over 30 minutes before abruptly leaving the stage! 😂 https://www.allsides.com/news/2024-10-15-0215/politics-trump-crowd-leaves-early-audience-made-listen-music-39-minutes

#DonaldTrump attempted to do ‘#TheWeave ‘ during a Town Hall-type #2024election campaign event in Warren, #Michigan that was moderated by #Tennessee (?) Senator #MarshaBlackman (who’s actually from #Mississippi 🤔).
It didn’t go well! 😂 Not at all.
#Trump is a #USpol clown.🤡

I enjoy seeing #FatHitler speeches transcribed. It gives you a chance to actually SEE the verbal vomit he calls "#TheWeave."
I have learned a new phrase used to label what the news media does with word soup like this. "#SaneWashing."
The recipe is simple. 1 cup psychotic diatribe, 1 cup sacrificed journalistic integrity. Twist yourself into knots looking for some "hidden meaning," and finish with two weeks analyzing that "meaning."

@wdlindsy I guess you need an English Lit PhD to appreciate the rhetorical genius of #TheWeave. I don’t, so I needed a #Hollywood movie star to make it accessible to me. Here’s #Christian Bale with his interpretation of the #Trump #weave. 👀 👉 https://youtu.be/hjDnwNoE_GA?si=xw7YNbJNTGCvVAIc

Last week on #FoxNews , #DonaldTrump said “#weird “ 11 times in a 40 second long #ramble.
Yesterday, he got it down to 30 seconds (!) of #rambling to get “#weird “ in 11 times. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-vance-weird-denial_n_66d91945e4b09a3ee66d56d6
Folks, he’s in training for the #ABCNews #Debate with @KamalaHarrisWin where he’ll do #TheWeave with a #weird #wordsalad on national #PrimeTime TV! 😂
