#Avatar #TheWayOfWater is a gorgeously looking film that displays the tremendous craft of Weta FX, worth watching for this reason as it’s truly visually stunning. But there’s no story and a tons of plot holes that I can’t believe were not addressed considering how much time they put into its development.

I do have to say, the flora and fauna in #thewayofwater truly are full of life.
If you don't know what I'm talking about... Just think about the dinosaurs in Jurasic World Dominion, and then think back to Avatar 2. -

#thewayofwater erzählt die Geschichte von Ausbeutung und Unterdrückung. Ist nunmal kein Hitchcock 🤷♂️
Aber ein schöner, sehr deutlicher und unterhaltsamer Reminder, dass die Ausbeutung durch Großkonzerne, Superreiche und Politikern als Handlanger kein Naturgesetz ist. -
After reading Academic philosopher Rupert Read's film review on Avatar: The Way of Water, I look forward to seeing the movie.:
"there is much that is weak in the film, but let that not obscure something inside it that’s so strong. The real point is to make our stand; to try to attain the wisdom of whales, and the intelligence of indigeneity and of our own wisdom traditions. The Way of Water includes repeated teaching on breathing techniques and meditation, teachings that, as I watched, I found myself breathing along with. Is there any other mass-audience movie that has attempted anything like this?

Saw #Avatar2 yesterday with @nathanielpiha and I gotta say it was very pretty! Long but of course it was long. I really loved that it was, well, very aquatic. Hats off to Cameron for finding a way to show how an unspoiled ocean should look. I know it was a painful movie for a lot of my friends who work in conservation because they already know humans suck. But... Humans do suck? So it's okay to be reminded that they do but they don't have to? #TheWayOfWater #JamesCameron #OceanConservation

*spoiler alert* Went to see #avatar #thewayofwater yesterday. Left feeling a bit deflated.
The 3D visuals are without doubt stunning, but it felt like the same plot all over again, and basically a setup for the rest of the series (Quaritch saved a couple of parent story arcs-Grace's avatar/Kiri and Quaritch/Spider to develop).
Also I'm a little bit over the 'Aiwa great mother goddess' thing (probably makes my inner atheist a bit uncomfortable).

CW: Spoilers for Avatar: The Way of Water
Payakan the Tulkun was the real hero of #Avatar: #TheWayofWater.
The only time I got goosebumps during the movie was when he decided to take matters into his own hands.
He started the final battle, destroyed the enemy, took revenge on the people who were responsible for his predicament, and saved the Na'vi protagonists from drowning.
Pity we didn't see him in the end.

My ticket to see Avatar: The Way Of Water for a second time has been booked! I can't wait to see this cinematic masterpiece another time, -this time to focus less on the story and more on the CG magic!
On a different subject, I did some improvements on my Na'vi sculpt; -Kiri, specifically.
I feel like it's still floating around in uncanny valley a bit, but it's slowly getting better. Feel free to leave feedback! Any input helps! :)
