  1. The Waeve - City Lights

This new Coxon/Dougall joint opens *very* Scary Monsters (and super creeps)-era Bowie—I swear the title track, City Lights, sounds like a light rewrite of “It’s No Game (No. 1)”.

Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing!

Anyway, the album feels like a bit like a tribute to early-80s New Wave/Art music, touring through their memories of favorite tracks, sounds and styles… it’s fun.

  3. A truly astonishing album for #TonightsCookingTunes

I listened to it on Spotify during it's first week of release early this year, and immediately purchased it on #Vinyl #TheWaeve

  5. New vinyl arrived today. Everything about this record exudes class. The sleeve is heavyweight and gatefold, the music sublime.
I listened to it on Spotify as I'd been curious after hearing a couple of tracks on Radio 6. I cannot recommend this album enough.
It's not often that new music captivates me in the way the Waeve have. It's mind blowingly good. #TheWaeve #vinyl

  6. Having my first listen to this album, released a couple of weeks ago. It's brilliant! #TheWaeve

  7. Today I discovered that Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall have formed a band called The WAEVE, and that it's a good album.

I've always loved Rose Elinor Dougall's music, be it as part of The Pipettes or her solo music; I prefer her solo music, her own compositions, and I love her voice.

As a guitarist, I've since long adored Graham Coxon, both in Blur and for his solo stuff; I prefer his poppy solo stuff. His guitar treatments and ideas are always inspirational.

Now that these two make an album together...can't wait to hear it. This new song!! #TheWAEVE
