Learned the hard way that there is a minimum number of episodes for "Web series" on #TheTvDB and that is is double for shorts (10 episodes if each is less than 10 minutes in average) when my entry for #ToonOut was deleted. 🙁
Well, 4 more episodes before it can be added back. 🙂

Does anybody have experience with TheTVDB and editing?
I edited a series (added missing episodes, added ENG translations and adjusted runtime per epdisode) and now someone else is "correcting" those edits, by deleting the translations and setting the runtime to 24 mins (even though the runtime varies from 7 to 15 min).
How do you cope with that?

You think dealing with some of the editors at Wikipedia is bad, wait until you have a tussle with some of the editors and admins at theTVDB. 😂 Some of them just make no sense and are militant in screwing up series and show naming and episode placements. #TVDB #TheTVDB #Emby #JellyFin #Plex

Media migration was easy enough. I had to move some "extras" around, and I switched to #TheTVDB's metadata to get away from #TheMovieDB's bad opinions, but I was able to keep both media servers running from the same media folder until I was ready to fully switch.

("TMDB's bad opinions": specifically their guidance that shows with multiple "segments" should represent each segment as a whole episode, i.e. making every episode number wrong for a show like Urusei Yatsura. There are other problems with their metadata, but no point in polishing a turd.) [2/]

Sorta sucks that #thetvdb is going to start charging to use the service. I'm guessing #plex will probably pay for the licence for their users, but FOSS projects will pretty much have to let their users get their own individual licences. #kodi #jelkyfin #flexget
