I feel I've not really conveyed the quality of this series of The Traitors in my toots, but though it's hard to describe the twists and turns of it as I go along this is a really solid version of it.

Final episode is super-dramatic with the full-on final battle between a strong Traitor and the one Faithful who has everything sussed but just needs to convince the others. Love it.

A new mechanic I've not seen before - the double dagger. Jason won a double vote in the task today.

Interestingly he really didn't want it. Proper felt the weight of it!

New Traitor - Siale. Tbh he was never a good Faithful but takes to being a Traitor really well, picking a great choice of murder (Utah). A threat removed, and the group thrown into complete chaos.

Somehow Molly and Ben both correctly figured out Mark's play. Wow.

Fun task halfway between the chess game from UK/US S3 and the naff ghost game from US S1.

From the "ghosts"' statements suspicion on Noel is rekindled - and we get a genuinely sweet scene with him and Cat when things get to him.

But gravity finally affects Jane. Bailey, without even visiting the turret, is now the sole Traitor.

Understandably, as we can to an absolutely bizarre play by Mark - blackmailed Jane by passing info to Utah at the end of play and telling her, to force a recruitment offer. Then said no to said offer. Forcing his own murder and Bailey's recruitment. 🤯

I can't tell whether this is the ultimate team play or just odd. But it's compelling.

At the time of the murder reveal I'm unsure Mike's actions have served him well, but I must admit he made an impeccable choice of murder - Brittany was exactly the kind of quietly dangerous Faithful that the Traitors usually miss.

Also Siale is a liability to the Faithful.

Also favourite players - Jason and Joe. Donna rapidly rising. Brie doesn't seem to know she's an agent of chaos and that's quite fun too.

No-one actually properly annoys me, though Jackie sails close to the wind for me. Which is sad to say as she's a bit like Linda (UK S3) who was a joy to watch.

So ... yeah, it's a good series so far. Apparently NZ S3 is unlikely and that's such a shame.
