En ce moment je bricole pas mal avec #TheThingsNetwork souvent abrégé en TTN. Après des années de bénévolat à @tetaneutral_net qui partage l'acronyme, je trouve ça un peu confusant 🙃

@BjornW Unfortunately not. I have 3 gateways running to support #lorawan, #meshtastic and #meshcore. They use the same #lora transmission technic, but different protocols.
By the way: You can access LoRaWAN sensors from #homeassistant via the #thethingsnetwork integration.

🤓 Installed a LoraWan Gateway & added it to The Things Network. Took some time, mostly due to my sensor station sleeping most of the time. After a while I did see data coming in from my sensors through the gateway over The Things Network onto the server collecting the data. Interesting stuff.
I wonder if I can combine #Meshtastic or #Meshcore with this gateway as well?

Anyone with a Multitech Conduit LoRaWan gateway experience ? I have one, quite old, to put my hands on it, and then made it part of a public network (as #thethingsnetwork)
#multitech #lorawan #gatewayIt connected to my router, but I can't join it by HTTP. I have access to the debug port, but not yet to the command line. Available documentation seems far more recent than my version (firmware 3 at least 10 years old?)

Ich habe die Tage mal einen #CO2 Messgerät gebaut und in das #TheThingsNetwork reingehängt. Funktioniert auch in unserer Halle ganz gut. Schön, dass wir hier so eine sehr hohe Abdeckung haben. Eigentlich würde ich da jetzt gerne noch ein Gehäuse drucken und eine Visualisierung mit einem LED Ring machen. Die Dashboards hab ich, der Einfachheit halber, mit #ThingSpeak gebastelt. #TTN #LoRaWAN

Slammed my head several times against a wall but I think I got it running. This is a rather old #LoRa Gateway running on a #Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Rev 1.1. Heck I had to download the system twice because this is 32bit and I went for 64 first thanks to muscle memory o0
Still no idea what I'm doing but it started chirping and is marked as UP in the GW overview of #TheThingsNetwork. Will start to play with the sensors I got on another day 🥱

This weekend I finally got around to releasing v5.0.0 of the Arduino LMIC (https://github.com/mcci-catena/arduino-lmic). This is an independent very lightweight implementation of the basic LoRaWAN protocol, originally done by IBM Zurich, then curated for many years by Matthijs Kooijman. 1/

Ich bekomme nun von meinem #TTN #Tracker im #LoRaWAN hier in der Gemeinde die Daten via #MQTT aus dem #TheThingsNetwork in mein @homeassistant #homeassistant abgefragt, bei weitem nicht so sinnvoll wie das #ttnmapper Projekt, aber als Technik Demo sehr sehr geil, schön das das noch vor meinem Vortrag heute abend geklappt hat! Aber so können schöne Dashboards entstehen!

TTIG konnte man schon auf anderen LNS'en nutzen, war aber beliebig mühsam ....
Einfache Gateways kosten ähnlich, mit LNS/MQTT einen Tick mehr - aber wenn man die Abo-Kosten rechnet, ist jeder andere GW billiger ...

Was noch wirklich unverfroren ist in den FAQ:

"No, the Things Indoor Gateway Pro ... may not be compatible with other LoRaWAN network servers. "
... kann also weg ...
Gut, gibt es inzwischen Gateways, die LNS und MQTT-Server mit beinhalten ... man kann also Netze ohne Cloud Services aufbauen! Müsste man mal noch sauber föderieren .. 😋

Zwar finde ich das neue #TheThingsNetwork Gateway ganz interessant, aber dass man dann gleich ein Abo Modell an der Backe hat und 5 EUR im Monat zahlen muss, ist doch etwas heftig. Mittlerweile geht es wohl nicht mehr nur um die Vergrößerung der Abdeckung. Ich muss das alles mal wieder etwas aktiver verfolgen... #LoRaWAN #TTN

Played around with some #LoRaWAN gear for the first time in ages. Tried to do some TTN mapping, tried to document the pains to get my T-Beam mapper running on TTNv3, and finally got some uplinks. Cool to see the @FabLabMuc gateway still going strong.

Also this year, #copenhell was well covered with #thethingsnetwork #lorawan ... two strong gateways at Den Kongelige Afstøbningssamling and at IT-Universitetet i København as the backbone.
... not that i actively needed it a lot while there ;) ... but it shows me what stages were my favorites
