Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask offers more of the same, for better or for worse
The Teal Mask takes players to the Kitakami Region to make friends, capture Pokémon, and uncover the truth behind legends.

Accidentally just flexing on Carmine in #PokemonViolet #TheTealMask #DLC with a shiny, higher level version of her lead #Pokemon.
Keep trying, Carmine.
It's with the Ogrepon masks that they hit the same kind of style we got for the gyms, herba mystica, and Team Star missions in the main game of #PokemonViolet. Shame #Pokemon #TheTealMask #DLC didn't do that with all their postcards, but at least these three big ones they did.
All the signboards for #PokemonViolet #TheTealMask #DLC. Glad they kept the postcards for milestone completions from the base game, though these have less decoration than the #Pokemon main quests from Paldea did.
I finished the main storyline for #TheTealMask, and it's...okay, so it's very railroady, and that isn't inherently an issue, but Carmine is just SO MEAN to Kieran, and you're forced to be party to Keeping Secrets from Kieran For Some Fucking Reason and no! I want to be Kieran's friend!!
Since the Teal Mask has come out, Ogerpon has grown on me quickly. Here she is with her bonk stick!
It was a bit challenging to get the background to something I liked.

Well, I guess I did a thing. I struggled with this because a lot of my Scarlet friends didn't have DLC but I lucked out and got almost all of the trade mons in tera raids.
Last was Poliwrath and I just ended up transferring through HOME.
So, started the #PokemonViolet #DLC, #TheTealMask and it's been quite good so far. Nice to go in to it with a shiny charm already. Bit surprised you get an experience charm early on as well, presumably to level up less used #Pokemon to run with in the DLC? I know my main team was overlevelled and so left in the box.
Also, got a shiny Morpeko, which is pretty grand.
Me, seeing Ogerpon: Maybe I should name you Momo when I catch you...
Ogerpon: Ponyo! Ponyoooooo!!
Me, when I finally toss a Friend Ball at Ogerpon: Welcome to the team, Ponyo. 😭
My new profile pic! Pokémon Scarlet & Violet "The Teal Mask" DLC themed \o/
It took a little while, but I am glad I could finally publish this one. Since the announce of the DLCs releases, I had clear that I would do a trilogy with my prior profile pic, this one and the future one of the DLC2.
Hope you like it! ^o^/ 💚⭐

Now that I am done with #TheTealMask I don't really know what to do. I should go back to #BG3, which I have barely started, but I really should be working on my Othello game. Problem is, as I learn more about the #PhaserGameEngine, I have to go back and do refactoring... again and again. It will be worth it, it's just boring. And then I pretty much have committed to porting my #FFTA-inspired roguelike to the engine... so instead I spend the night working on my #Pokemon Violet Pokedex...

Carmine: Oh, and we totally just lied to my little brother so let's just go with that.
Me: NO, CARMINE. **YOU** LIED. I WAS TRYING TO TELL KIERAN THE TRUTH.
Started up Pokémon Violet for the first time in months, going to start the Teal Mask DLC today!
What I've heard about the DLC so far hasn't been great... but at least I get another chance to use my mono-Poison team, which I forgot to post about while playing through the main game!
The Teal Mask: The Loyal Three
There's secrets in old Kitakami, and spoilers within.

Travelling to Kitakami? Don't forget to take #typedex with you to get the lowdown on all the new Pokémon!
Me, playing #TheTealMask on #PokemonSV last night:
Kieran: We could have a picnic and I could make a sandwich...
Miraidon: Sandwich? SANDWICH. *violently kicks his way out of his Poké Ball*
Me: *sighing loudly* You canNOT be hungry. We ate an hour ago!
Pokémon Scarlet/Violet: The Teal Mask first impressions
Anyone who doesn't think we will be catching these three legendary Pokémon at some point has clearly never played a Pokémon game.

Quick note: Save before you talk to Jacq. The Egg he gives you is random; if you get the #Sinnoh starter that you don't want, reset after the Egg hatches and try again.
I hatched four #Piplup before I finally got the #Chimchar I so desperately wanted. It took a bit so hang in there!
Second note: the starters don't have their Hidden Abilities so if you really want an Iron Fist Chimchar, you'll need to use an Ability Patch.
Me, playing #TheTealMask on #PokemonSV tonight:
Random Sentret: Hi, I'm a Sentret! Who might you be?
Mewtwo the Unrivaled: YOUR DEATH.
One more hour, and I can go home to be the very best, like no one ever was.
Full odds shiny Magikarp while playing the SV DLC.... crit capture in a luxury ball. Do I evolve it??? #PokemonScarletViolet #TheTealMask #pokemon
