Next, I've restarted reading The Summer Hikaru Died (光が死んだ夏) manga by Mokumokuren!

I absolutely love the anime, and have read the first volume of the manga a few months ago, but now I'm starting to read it properly (I'm currently in the middle of volume 2).

I bought the French translation (I have the first 7 volumes) and I really love it - there's a lot of slang which makes it more natural and down to earth, and I think I prefer this than the quite neutral English translation (... it's hard to explain).

I'm very happy to delve back into this beloved story, and I'm excited to see the plot past the anime!!

I very much love the design aesthetic they went for with both the cover art, colors, etc.

I so love good cohesive design that threads through multiple pieces of a single work.

Vol. 4 (English translation) arrived last night.

Unfortunately, The Beast doesn't have any available Vol. 5 copies.

They had Vol 6. but I figured I'd leave that unpurchased until I had Vol. 5 acquired and read.

I just saw Vol. 8 will be released in Japan later in December.
