It didn't seem harmful because the Northerners who were manufacturing & using it were cold. They liked the warmth. Just wanted good fire in what were technically badlands during the winter. Basically how it works is gathering virtually at the beginning of the day, creating your character according to The Stellar's guidelines, then spending the day planting things to collect as many points as you can.

If you've been procrastinating on your spring planting (or seedbombing the local abandoned construction site), this is a great way to get it done, and make friends and have fun along the way with other solarpunks.
