#KleberMendonca: "The films are very well photographed today, and we have wonderful equipment, but the lenses are too sharp to my taste. And we have too much resolution. It's almost like a television image on cocaine. There is amazing #photography work being done in contemporary films, but with the older lenses and period photography, there is a certain imperfection that I find perfect. And this is something that I really wanted in #TheSecretAgent, and then you couple that with the costumes, with the cars, with the art design, the production design, and also a certain logic of time. A lot of what the film discusses comes from 50 years ago, but many of them in fact remain contemporary, unfortunately. And a lot of the political observations that I make in the film are contemporary in many countries."
