'the promise', directed by peter kosminsky, somehow sailed over my radar when it was first televised in 2011; but i'm watching it now (through channel 4's free streaming service). one episode in & i'm thoroughly invested in its characters & story. its examination of britain's role in the current shitshow in gaza is a gut punch.
this article does a better job of enticing viewership than i ever could.
