One thing I love about Selenea is that there is a giant abandoned mining base, where every bit of lore says "if you turn this on, the planet will become an uninhabitable ice cube and we deeply regret that we tried this"
And it has a dormant energy source that can be used to turn it on, but requires a lot of resources
And it just hangs out there the whole game, taunting you with "...but you still wanna try it, right?"

Some games just baffle me with how good their reviews are compared to my experience playing them.
Just refunded #ThePlanetCrafter ('overwhelmingly positive') because starting the game collecting resources in the shape of randomly generated strewn around rocks is really not my idea of a fun survival crafting game.
Iron? Pick a rock on the floor. Silicon? Pick a rock on the floor. Cobalt? Pick a rock on the floor. Water? You guessed it, ice rock on the floor.
They're not even in different places or anything. They're just all the same size, distributed randomly on the floor of the empty map for you to click A on.
Whyyy.
And then you start building, which is the same generic "1st person, set down a magic floating cube module blueprint with your holo construction gun" thing we've been tired of since 2015 (see: No Man's Sky, Subnautica, Astroneer, Solarpunk, Satisfactory...). And of course they're just white featureless floating cubes with a generic 'sci-fi' looking design.
Tiny inventory. Multi-tool that looks like a gun. First person with way too low an FOV. Shitty story about being stranded on an alien planet at the behest of some corporate overlord with a mission to exploit its local resources.
I feel like I've played the same game fifty times now and I've enjoyed zero of them.

my thoughts on the Toxicity DLC are that i love a toxic swamp but the Super Mario Sunshine goo removal theme didn't really add much to the gameplay. essentially one more meter, in the same way that heat didn't add much to Subnautica Below Zero.
some sort of power wash tool or vacuum for dealing with purification explosive residue would have been nice. even options for bioremediation? planting crops over toxic areas or algae in toxic lakes would have been fun. something other the simple cosmetic change of clicking on toxic goo nodes instead of regular resource nodes.
Aqualis was still the most entertaining planet/moon and i mean that 🌊

Das war es jetzt also. Ich verlasse das System und lasse 4 vollkommen transformierte Welten hinter mir. Ich vertraue mich dem Portal der Wächter an, welches mich zu einem unbekannten Ort und Schicksal führen wird...
Hiermit stempel ich nach 160 Stunden Spielzeit #ThePlanetCrafter plus Addon als #durchgespielt. Es war mir eine helle Freude, in diesen Indie-Game meine Zeit zu verbringen! 🥰

Es ist vollbracht. Mit Aqualis hab ich jetzt auch den letzten Himmelskörper in dem Sonnensystem terraformt.
Mein Werk ist getan. Nun muss ich nur noch für mich entscheiden, wie ich das Spiel beenden werde.

Bon par contre c'est un peu long quand même pour certains truc basique comme les murs et escaliers intérieur, puis ça manque d'automatisation quand même :pikaneutral:

Ein weiterer Planet ist transformiert. Auch auf Humble gibt es nun eine reichhaltige Flora und Fauna. 😊
Jetzt bleibt nur noch der Mond Aqualis übrig, aber mit meiner jetzigen Resourcen dürfte das keine große Herausforderung mehr sein.
Na ja, das hoffe ich zumindest.😉

Endlich die Keksproduktion automatisiert. Im Stockwerk drüber stehen die Gerätschaften, die automatisch Kakao, Mehl und Kekse produzieren. Die Drohnen sortieren es ein. So großartig, wie #ThePlanetCrafter immer wieder Sachen erleichtert, die anfangen, zuviel Arbeit zu machen.

I fell into the lovely hole that is #ThePlanetCrafter. I'm not a big fan of survival games, but this one is different. The survival part is quite comfortable manageable, the terraforming is cool and exploration fantastic. Thinks peak your curiousity, but your item management and crafting slow it down, so motivation to expand is high. :D

Meine zentrale Basis bei #ThePlanetCrafter nimmt mehr Raum ein. Neben der Startrampe ist jetzt auch genug Platz vorhanden, um weitere Gerätschaften aufzubauen. Die Terraform-Stufe steht kurz vor der Pflanzen-Phase. 🙂

So langsam wird es auf dem Planeten heimeliger. Aktuell bin ich auf dem halben Weg, die Moos-Ära freizuschalten. Dann wird es hoffentlich auch jenseits der Basis grüner und lebendiger. 😊
