After teasing the date earlier this year on social media, dance.happy.doom.crew are excited to have finalised the line up for Dankfest 2026. This year’s Dankfest will be held at the Crown Hotel over the nights of 28/08/26 and 29/08/26. The event will feature 15 acts from across the motu:

I make emphasis in “tried to” because the concept is interesting, but execution is so poor that makes it one of the most #boring movies that I’ve ever seen.
Please don’t watch it, just don’t. There’s no #horror on it. Just #cheesy and bad acting.

I think #Trans artists are making some of the best art around ATM. #JaneSchoenbrun's film #ISawTheTVGlow is a great example. It's poetic and horrific at the same time, stretches the medium in amazing ways and the two leads turn in performances aching with heart, sorrow, regret and defiance. The end is heartbreaking. I Saw the TV Glow was a pretty appropriate film to kick off Pride Month with, and fortunately, it was also a damn good one. It's an offbeat A24 horror film that's both deeply nostalgic for the '90s era of kids'/teen horror shows like Goosebumps and Buffy and also fundamentally about how nostalgia lies to us, and while I don't want to spoil any of it, it's not one I'm likely to forget any time soon.
