I have to wonder, what did all the people on Twitter do before all the people they wanted to follow were on Twitter? And if they weren't on Twitter because of it where were they?
I remember when hardly anyone had an email address, or a blog, or other social media accounts. But we almost all used those technologies at some point or other.
If you really want others to use Mastodon then you can help by talking about it elsewhere, post links to Mastodon posts, etc.

I go back to #TheOtherPlace to have a look around, but it's pretty quiet.
Also, the numbers seem odd. I've tweeted once in that time period, yet I still got 20.8K impressions? These numbers seem a little off.

I see that Tweetdeck has just had some major (unannounced) patches applied which broke it in several ways. Are they trying to catch up with Mastodon by any chance? :-)

With the death of the twitter API except for paid users I look forward to the next announcement that using emojis is only for paid users followed by limits on the number of vowels in each tweet #bluebird #theotherplace

I’m anxiously waiting for the next generation of #mastodon where all I have to do is click on the people I follow and get on demand content.
