#grace and #virtue are intertwined, for grace leads to virtue (2 Pet. 1:3). This shows the primacy of God’s action through grace leading us into virtue. But we cannot ignore the human involvement in that. This is why Peter says *we* must “make every effort” to grow into virtue (2 Pet. 1:5). The two elements must be held together: God’s action and human responsibility. To do otherwise is #unbiblical.

#NPR is heralding a Jeopardy winner's mass market (and poorly researched) book as evidence that he is an expert on the afterlife (yes those exact words). I am curious how often NPR has taken such an interest in the subject to interview actual scholars of theology and religion. Such nonsense. I won't even link to it. Such nonsense.

It all comes down to sums, and having studied what it means to be of pure heart when it comes to approaching God, I know that he knows better. He fools everyone. Still, people will argue giving away anything makes one a saint. Religion doesn't work that way. He knows better.
