Tester model done on a first Chaos Warrior. Trim did not, in fact, send me insane. Really, it was actually a rather nice mini to paint despite feeling pretty detailed.

Got priming the first regiment of Chaos Warriors today, but had space on the stick and added a trio of heroes. First two built from spare parts from the Warriors Sprues and some green stuff. The third fella is a AOS Champion with a Marauder Head and a very big bushy green stuff beard. Huge I tell you, huge.

I believe this fella came in for some internet hassle when released. Just to tardily state my thoughts - he’s so cool, I love this mini, and if you’re an internet dose, please, away and shite with you.
Finally sprayed him, and got #painting him. I had him sat on that mental self of “too nice to paint” for an age. Really happy with what’s turned out to be a quick paint up. I can see some touch ups I’ll make - but that’s always the way.

Stepped away from piling up spindly piles of misprints, grabbed a brush this evening, and got a metal mini out as catharsis from all that messing.
A hero for my #StirRiverPatrol.
Tested out an approach to getting the green to pop, happy with how it comes out. Liking the effect of going for very bright colours when using contrasts and beating them back with a wash then highlighting from there.
