  1. I was listening to #TheNumbers podcast yesterday. They discussed an Abacus poll about #PierrePoilievre . Apparently, among voters who were open to voting for the #CPC, there were ~20% who disapproved of Mr. Poilievre. On the other hand, a poll by Environics asked whether voters would support the #CPC with other potential leaders: Melissa Lantsman, Doug Ford, Jason Kenney, Tim Houston, etc.

Notwithstanding the high unfavourability level of Mr. Poilievre, all the other names did worse.

  2. Listening to #TheNumbers podcast, I heard #PhilippeJFournier and #ÉricGrenier saying that the modern #ConservativeParty is not what it used to be, even in Stephen Harper's time. They bring up polling on how #CPC voters feel about the monarchy: youtu.be/u2CIOSrC0pI?t=617

I suspect this is a mismatch between voters and the party, that the membership and leadership remain solidly attached to Canadian traditions. I'll have a better feel for whether the party has changed in January.

  12. @AnnaAnthro I was just listening to #TheNumbers podcast. They were saying that this is the sort of result that presages a total wipe-out of the #CAQ in the next general election.

  13. I'm quite aware that this could affect the dopamine hit I get from #TheNumbers going up on Mixcloud, but I'm now also uploading each episode of #ThePlaylist to my new online archive.

The quality's better, and you can add it to your favourite podcast app so you can listen on the go.

  14. The fact #TheNumbers is predicting a weekend #boxoffice haul of over $20 million for #Terrifier3 is WILD!

A 2.5 hour excessive gore exploitation film making that kind of money was not something I'd expect.

  15. #ThursdayFiveList is songs with #theNumbers, apparently. So without further ado, the first to come into my head:

New Model Army - 51st State of America

    The Stooges - 1969

Marillion - Man of A Thousand Faces

    PWEI - Def Con One

Skid Row - 18 And Life

  16. Okay, being a #Sabaton fan, this week's #ThursdayFiveList hosted by @neurothing asking for #TheNumbers is easy.
