in other news, i just found the silliest #fashion collaboration i’ve seen in a while: the north face × international klein blue.
1) there’s nothing special there, it’s just some of their summit series stuff in solid blue or a decor that seems to imply runny blue paint on white
2) international klein blue is synthetic ultramarine in a very specific matte resin binder meant to make the finished paint layer look as much as possible like dry pigment. it’s not replicable as such on fabric. also, it looks very specifically dry and granulated and matte, not runny.
3) you’d think after @GreatDismal wrote of his advertising magnate from hell, hubertus bigend, that he wears a suit in international klein blue because its intensity unsettles people, you wouldn’t really want to be evoking that… entire idea of faux-ikb as a status marker on clothes.

Because my #Salomon Sense Ride 5 were showing signs of disintegration after #running them for almost 1500 kilometres, I bought a pair of Vectiv Infinite 2 from #TheNorthFace as a replacement.
The shoes are larger than usual, so I had to buy them one size smaller. In general, they are comfortable to #run, but unfortunately they are very slippery when wet on stones, wet roots, ...
And even worse, the sole is already coming off after only 2x runs ... very disappointing!
