For this #screenshotsaturday here is what I've been working on all night (it's now 5am) the music of #TheNightDancer as I once again find myself racing against my own set deadlines to have the film ready for screening by Halloween. Yeah, I finished it a couple of weeks ago, then took my foot off the accelerator, then woke up when it's only four days to Halloween and I hadn't finished it properly.....

Whew. It is so many months overdue, but finally I have a release date for my new short film, #TheNightDancer and since Halloween is just around the corner I thought why not show it to you on that day? It is supposed to be a horror, after all 😊

But here is a trailer (sort of) will give you a hint of what to expect (I hope) though I have mixed feeling about how the film came out, but more on that in a proper BTS blog!

It's that part of a project where the self-imposed deadline has passed by a month, and you are spending sleepless nights trying to beat the second deadline... My #wip short film #TheNightDancer is taking shape. Figuring out mocap took so long, but I hope to (finally!) have at least a rough cut by the end of this month. I pray for strength to keep awake long enough to make it.

I'm done with motion capture tests, and so now I can confidently start the editing process to bring #TheNightDancer to life. This is all thanks to @freemocap which has saved me from a nightmare disaster after my Rokoko suit failed, dramatically. I just wish this app had come out much earlier, before I blew all that money on the suit.

Yesterday we finished shooting #TheNightDancer Its been a hectic week, and yesterday was particularly gruesome as we had to go until about midnight since some of the cast were not available starting today. Today I feel my whole body is broken and ground into pieces, been mostly in bed idling all day.

But now the fun part begins, post production. Editing and VFX magic. 😊
