Well, I have made the mistake of watching ’The Natural’ after reading the book and man has this been a mistake.
So much dross.
I can’t help thinking how much more striking (so to speak) it could have been if filmed in stark black and white with the story kept at least somewhat in line with the novel’s darkness.
