  5. About halfway through watching this documentary on The Name of the Rose (1986) - fascinating amount of detail!! The fact that it was made by a filmmaker and fan of the movie definitely shows. I love that he got to interview Ron Perlman and Jean-Jacques Annaud.

  6. Reading C. J. Sansom's "Dissolution":

"Reputedly a copy of Aristotle's lost work /On Comedy/.", he said. "A fake, of course. Thirteenth century Italian, but beautiful nonetheless."

    🤣

  7. I absolutely loved #JohnTurturro in #TheNameOfTheRose series. I don't care for Sean Connery so this William of Baskerville was an upgrade to me.

One of the best characters or figures anywhere ever, with all that intellect tempered into wisdom & compassion.

#MichaelEmerson + #RupertEverett also fine, of course, but not comparing.

I hadn't seen #RichardSammel since The Strain either & #TchékyKaryo is always love.
