"Kaos", the concept and the god, is originally spelled with a kappa (Κ), not a chi (Χ). Ancient mathematicians used these letters to describe how the universe was formed, whether it started at a "resting" initial state and then moved forward only; which is what the kappa represented.The faction that spelled it with a chi thought time could even go backwards.

Thus it should be transliterated with a "k" not a "ch"; because the name is spelled Κάος vs χάος.
