Bonjour tout le monde ! Aujourd'hui, je fête mes 2 ans de mariage avec le chéri d'amour 🎉 Nous sommes aux noces de cuir. Hab eben das erste Mal komplett the Mentalist geguckt, bin damals erst recht spät eingestiegen, als Lorelai aufgetaucht ist.
Und auch wenn ich finde, Staffel 6 wäre eine gute finale Staffel gewesen. Ich mag das Serienende. -
Hop, on est lundi, donc, oui, c'est l'heure de souhaiter au Fédiverse une excellente journée (courage, ça va le faire, en plus, la chaleur a notablement diminué 💪), mais aussi de vous partager mes notes de la semaine !
On cause bien entendu Pokopia, mais aussi The Mentalist et des nouveaux trucs comme The Magicians ou un concert de Hans Zimmer. Ca parle aussi d'écrans e-ink 👀

Finished watching #thementalist and fancied something lite'n'fluffy to watch. #apex (charlize theron and taren edgerton) turned out to be a cool film that was very relatable.
Shot around the Blue Mountains, Australia. They were only 50 miles from civilisation but I get that the conditions can be harsh. I've been further out, solo trekking. Ran into some wildlife during the times I spent out there. Spent some time on the rivers. 'Hung around', free climbing. Unlike the film though, I've never been hunted by a psycho!

Have now started the Mentalist season 4 and PSYCH! That twist was satisfying.
Have enjoyed LaRouche's long character arc far more than expected.

I am just going to say that the repeated "one more thing" never stops being wonderful, and I will never ever complain about any detective show that hinges on close observation tipping its cap to the great Columbo.

The most unrealistic thing about The Baseball Episode is the conceit that 22 is too old for pitchers, or indeed for any baseball player coming up into the league system from scouting.
It takes a long time to train baseball players to play the game at the major league level. 22 is very very young.

I am already impatient for the Lisbon / Jane relationship to move past “he's obnoxious and I yell at him" to some kind of understanding of his methods and his mode of thinking. Because it's schtick at this point when she yells at him. v tedious. I assume it will move on.

Well, I now know that this series is not going to make me happy when it goes into non-diagetic pop music mode.
It's already annoyed me with the diagetic "this is generic genre X to signify that we are in a dive bar | underground club | place with punks | etc”.

Well, yes, the Bosco plot went one of the two places it could have gone after that. You got yer new recurring character, or you got yer deader.
I think the last time I was truly shocked by a character death was in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Twice. (I watched it unspoiled. Both hit *really* hard.)
One more comment: Really BAD opsec from the “CBI” there. That was a Jack Ruby level prisoner security incident.
The Red John plot has been *most* interesting when we met the blind pianist he befriended.
