"We're here for a moment, that's all we get
Then it's back to being stardust in the vast firmament
That's just enough time to find a mosh pit of joy, oh
And flow with each other at a perfect tempo"

🎶 ☠️ 💛 I didn't realise that there is a #WomenMusicWednesday
So, since I'm definitely a woman in music, here ya go:
There are forces, as there have always been, that would take away our joy. I say, don't make it easy for them! Our joy is priceless. It can't be bought.
It doesn't take much to have a good time, a few fine friends and some rhythm and rhyme.
Collective joy is powerful.
And, as an act of resistance, or for the sheer heck of it, don a beer or soda can hat, and find a "mosh pit of joy". We're in this together.

#TuneTuesday 🎶 💜 ☠️ Enjoy this new track on our latest album released on the Solstice.
"We've Got What It Takes" is an uptempo, dance-inducing, ska like ensemble tune reminding us that together we can
"Nix the hate
Fix what’s stuck
Stop the worst
from running amok ..."Fab trumpet solo.

I just moved our mailing list over to #SubStack Had to do it. MailerLite was getting pricey. This is my first post there announcing the completion of our 10th album.
Woo Hoo!
No worries, Mastodonians. I will update here, as usual. I simply needed a way to contact fans and friends who aren’t hip to the fediverse yet.

🎶 💜 ☠️ I tucked a celebration of #Pride into the 2nd verse of our tune "Beer Can Hats":
"The scene is wild, kind of quirky homestyle with
#Rainbow lights and so many smiles
Extraordinary jugglers, expert acrobats
All the guests are wearing silly socks and beer can hats ?! "

🎶 ❤️ ☠️ My take on the trad tune "Black Is the Color" with vocals, synths and my accordion, of course, because, as I say often, accordions go with everything.

#theMadMaggies is not a cover band but we did record one album of vintage hits.
Here from that album is our version of the 1966 hit by Bobby Moore & the Rhythm Aces with Chico Jenkins.

🎶 💛 ☠️ "Still Standing" is part groove, part rap*, part unmistakeable Mad Maggies fusion. This tune says something about resilience.
https://musicshop.themadmaggies.com/track/still-standing
And, as always, accordions can play anything.
* from Wiki: Stylistically, rap occupies a gray area between speech, prose, poetry, and singing.
