So. Turns out I blew right past new game+ when I made my second run with a new hero. Um. Yeah, I'm feeling bad about slandering the game.
On the plus side, the second run took half as many hours, even without boosts. That's good, right?

I am still playing The Legend of Legacy and it has reached the point where I can win if extreme rng does not bite my ass.
Up against baby boss, an immediate total party wipeout was followed by a pretty steady win on the retry.
Also, I went and killed the green dragon. I had to. For Filmia.

Day 20. Yippeeee I finished the story!
But what will I write about tomorrow? I may have a plan.

Day 16-18. Take my word for it, I'm doing a page a day. The end is achievable if not yet in sight.
My brain: The Lord Mayor offers enticing rewards, you say?

The Legend of Legacy round two: Go go go, Bianca.
Money and stances don't carry over in the HD version. Boo.
My memory remains. I beat the first boss before I had any magic arts lol.

That was key to faster playthoughs on the 3DS! I could gear everyone up with optimal armor and weapons from the earliest maps! Big sword for you, mystic robes for you, send out the biggest ship for the tastiest new gear!
Mrgrgr. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Maybe the drops are better now. Mrgrgr.

Woooo hoooo! I cleared Owen's story in The Legend of Legacy. The ending credits music is chef's kiss.
I cannot in good faith recommend this game but by golly I still adore it in all its tiny grindy random purity.

Woke up at 3am with a plan on how to fight a sub boss. It failed, of course. But I have a new plan, mostly making Owen take damage in the hopes of increasing hp.
Owen: Ow. Ow! That smarts!!
Garnet: It's for your own good.
Filmia: Rejoice. I have gained hp! We are as brothers.
Owen: Shut up. Ow! -
Me: Oh, the enemy has new music! Love the sick percussion.
Game: Are you sure about this?
Me: I want more of this music. Let's go!
Game: [three rounds later, total party wipeout]
Me: That's fair. Can't say I wasn't warned. -
Everyone left the house yesterday so I actually wrote real words for a fic for The Legend of Legacy.
After three pages: Owen finally decides to order a second beer.

I'm enjoying The Legend of Legacy but I am once again asking Owen to learn a skill.
After a battle:
Filmia: I have learned three spear moves, three archery moves, and air shield.
Garnet: Nice. I leveled up thrice, and learned two sword moves. How about you, Owen?
Owen: Still trying to learn Ricochet. -

In my online wanderings, I landed on the art book for The Legend of Legacy. (Can we start calling it Leg-O-Leg yet?) Second half has spoilers, but the details for frog prince Filmia are super precious (p. 19-20).

Today's #VGMWednesday theme is #BonusBeats but alas I don't play playformers etc (dreadful skills). I do play RPGs, and one of my favorites is being re-released next year. The Legend of Legacy, all about exploration and fighting things. It includes a few optional areas, so that counts, right? (I was going to use this OST somehow, no matter the prompt.)
Dungeon in the Desert, Masashi Hamauzu. In game it is more extended and breathy. #TheLegendOfLegacy
