John Di Fool—crude detective in a cyberpunk city—receives a powerful, sentient artifact and becomes targeted by aliens, cultists, presidential clones, assassins, et al.

There's a whole lot of running away from—or reluctantly towards—danger. Much political satire and numerous wild concepts thrown at the reader with little fanfare.

Based on a failed Dune adaptation. Unhinged and kind of amazing.

A while back, I watched a video on YouTube about Mœbius (Jean Giraud) and just how much sci-fi was influenced by his art.

So I took note of The Incal, specifically, and eventually put in a request/reservation with my local library.

Picked it up Thursday—three days ago—and finally finished my copy of Legends & Lattes the same day.

It's been a busy weekend, but I've read the first chapter and it's interesting so far.

It’s a copy of The Incal!

I wish Jodorowsky’s version of Dune could have been made. In lieu of Dune, I’d totally take the Incal being made into a movie.

More and more I find myself inspired by French sci-fi and electronic music.
