Just saw #NowYouSeeMe3 (NYSM3) at my local #AMC today.
It was a decent sequel which added a few new characters to the cast & got rid of 1 in the process.
One of the new characters had a bit part in #JurrasicParkFallenKingdom (2018) & the other co-starred with #PauGiamatti in #TheHoldovers (2023).
#RosamundPike plays the "bad guy" & adopts a very convincing South African accent in her role.
The concluding "trick" in NYSM3 is performed in the same vain as those that were executed in NYSM 1& 2 & were revealed similarly as well.
There were several weak points but it was entertaining enough to rate a 6 out of 10, which means it's good enough to see at the theater.
And the way it ended left it open for a NYSM4

Also wieso der #Film #theholdovers von der Kritik so gelobt wird, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Klar, Giamatti spielt das gekonnt runter. Das restliche Ensemble ist auch sehr gut. Aber die Story fängt mich kaum. Zu dünn, zu vorhersehbar. Kurz: Langweilig.
